Books and Bloggers Swap!!!

This is my absolutely favorite swap of all time all year round! I had a really bad swap experience over Christmas so I ALMOST didn’t sign up this time around but I am SO glad I did. CGSwaps really know how to run an amazing and wonderful swap!!

For those of you who are new to this swap (you should sign up next time!!) It is in 3 parts,

1. a book you love

2. a book from your partners wish list

and

3 a book that you haven't read but really want to read!

This time around my partner was Kristen from Pretty Little Pages, and wow did she make an AWESOME Swap box for me!!!

I got a super sweet note from her, and she mentioned that she went a little overboard because of my problem with the swap over Christmas. Which was super sweet of her!!

 

She sent me Green Tea Kit Kats, which are her favorite candy and are totally getting added to my Amazon I want list because they are freaking amazing!!!

Now for the books!!

A Book Kristen Loves:

She says that she loves this whole series, and the follow up series Bloodlines, I love that she picked this books, as one of my goals this year was to actually read all the books in this series!!

A Book from my wish list:

I have been wanting to finish this series for almost a year or two now, I loved the first two books, but just never got around to picking up the last one!!

A book she wants to read but hasn’t

I love the way this book sounds, Kristen says that is sounds like Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code for the YA Crowd only better!! So looking forward to this read!

This one makes me know Kristen is a girl after my own heart, she doesn’t normally read historical books, but when she saw the cover she felt like it sold her on this one, and I am with her, I will honestly admit over half of my book choices are based on cover alone…this does lead to a lot of regrets, but some great reads!!

and lastly she picked out Gena Showalter’s new series' first book, I love her books and am so excited to have the first one in this series!!

Books N Bloggers Swap Reveal

I know I have gone on and on about how this is my FAVORITE swap of the year!! (last year they did it 2 times!!)  So here is my Reveal post! I got super lucky with my partner this year, Mika over at Oshiro Design reads a lot of similar books to what I love to read and she is so sweet!!

 

 

First I got my box and opened it up, I could already tell I was going to LOVE the package!!

 

The card was so sweet and I loved it!

The first book was the book she loved, She got my Scott Westerfeld’s Uglies, which has been on my to read list for a while, but I’ve just never found a copy! I can’t wait to start this one!

(sorry about the blurry camera photos, sadly my dig. camera’s battery was dead so I am relying on cell phone images! )

Next was one from my wish list, Amanda Ashby’s Fairy Bad Day; I am SOO Excited about this one, because I actually just finished a borrowed copy of her first  and third books (they aren’t a series) and LOVED her writing!!

Finally she sent me a copy of Lev Grossman’s The Magicians, Mika hasn’t read this one but wants too, and after reading the back I am really looking forward to reading this one as well!!

 

Finally, I had mentioned to Mika that I LOVE a good cup of tea with a nice book, and she sent me a collection of different teas and some AMAZING Tupelo honey from a trip she took, (I totally already had a glass of the breakfast tea she sent. English breakfast is a favorite of mine, and the honey was AMAZING!! )

I know I have mentioned this before but seriously guys this is my FAVORITE swap of all time!! My partner this go around was Dabin From So Many Books So Little Time!!  She sent me some amazing books!

I got really lucky and all 3 of the books she sent me were on my wish list!!!

She read and loved Madman’s Daughter. She says she liked the writing and  It was dark and actually sort of terrifying to read.

I also got sent Venom and Dragonswood which I have been wanting to read!! I can’t wait to crack into these books!!! Thanks again Dabin!! I loved them!

From my Wishlist she got me Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Darkside!  I am so excited about getting this I’ve been wanting to read it for a while now!

Sarita sent me The Night Circus as the book she read that she loved. I had heard of this book and was thinking about getting it so I am loving that she sent it to me!

For Books she hadn’t read she sent me too!! Across The Universe and Tigers Curse. Oh my gosh the covers for these two books are AMAZING!!! I am looking forward to jumping right into them!!

Books and Blogger Swap Reveal!!

This is honestly my favorite swap I’ve participated in so far! I LOVE reading books and getting them is even better, plus there is usually a book I’ve never heard of but learn to love!

This year the Swap was secret style I sent a Package to Sarita of The Chronicles of Sarita, and Margie of Bumbles and Fairytales sent me mine!!

First I saw this cute card from Margie! She wrote me an adorable note explaining each book and isn’t her handwriting pretty???

The first book we were supposed to send out was a book that we love, Margie sent me Pushing The Limits. She says that it is a YA book with lots of emotions and a boy named Noah. I am taking this one to class tomorrow to read while I wait in-between classes!

My other two books are a book she hasn’t read and one from my wish list, She was amazing in this one she got me The first book in a series I have been wanting to read and because what is the first book with out the second she got me the second book too!

 

I had so much fun picking out the books for my partner and I can’t wait to read the books that I got!! What is a new book you have read lately?

Books and Bloggers Swap

I am sorry this is a little late, but I haven’t been able to do much or sleep much between work and the hospital. I Was very excited when I saw the package sitting on my steps for me when I got home!!

Shanley sent me some wonderful books! I’ve already finished one and am on to the second!

She wrapped them all so nicely!

1: A book she loved! I was very excited to get this book, I have actually debated on buying it for myself a few times and I have just started reading this and am LOVING it so far!

2: A Book She Hasn’t Read!

I will admit I squealed when I saw this! I had been dying for the book and I love Karen Hawkins so I was thrilled to get it. I have already finished this one and you should TOTALLY read this one!

3: A Book I Want:

This had been on my wish list for a while. I am trying to complete one of my 101 in 1001 goals to own a complete book series and the Julia Quinn series was one of the first series I started reading, I love seeing all the secondary characters getting happily ever after's too!

I love love love to read! I will read just about anything (except Steven King) and so when I saw that Beth and Angie were having a book swap I had to join in!
