I’ve Been Tagged!!!

Okay I am completely in shock right now! I’ve been tagged and I was tagged twice!! And the two bloggers who tagged me are two of my favorites! Martha from A Southern Transplant, and Becca from Everyday Life. If you haven’t checked them out please go and look now, They are both amazing women!

So This tag is called

The Blogger Game:

The Rules

1. You must post the rules.

2. Post eleven fun facts about yourself on the blog post.

3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and then create 11 new questions to ask the people you've tagged.

4. Tag 11 people and link them on your post.

5. Let them know you've tagged them!

Part 1 done! Okay 11 things about me…

1.  I just decided that I was going to start running, I’ve only been once and I actually enjoyed it.

2. I love to read, if given the choice to do anything in the world or read a good book, I would pick the book every time.

3. I want to be able to wear the size clothes I wore freshman year of high school again. The only reason I am not is because I am lazy, so I am hoping to fix that.

4. I was introduced in class this semester as “The girl who must REALLY love her boyfriend, she’s been with him 10 years.” I thought it was kind of cute that that’s what my partner picked up on.

5. I always hold my breath when I drive through tunnels, When I was a kid we used to drive through them to visit family when we lived in Ohio and after we moved to SC and if you could hold your breath until the end you got a wish. I’ve only ever made it one time.

6. I usually have a “pause” button on my dreams, if I am sleeping and wake up I can generally stay awake for an hour and when I go back to sleep my dream was paused the whole time, only bad when it’s a nightmare.

7. I wanted to be Belle, Ariel, Aurora, and Esmeralda when I grew up.

8. I get a pit in my stomach when my work calls, because I am always scared I did something wrong.

9.  I never got the hang of the newer video games, I played Mario, Sonic and even Pokémon, but the newest game I will play is Plants Vs. Zombies

10. I am scared to death of Zombies.

11. I cannot watch any form of a horror movie. The closest I will get is crime shows on TV. Any form of horror/scary movie terrifies me.

Martha’s Questions For Me:

1. If you could go back in time to your 16-year-old self and tell them one thing about what to expect from the future, what would it be and why?

I would tell myself to expect and embrace change, I tried for so long to not let anything change and I really should have just gone with it, I would have had more fun.

So that is what the paper, and my uncle put in about my Papa.  The man who told me stories about Italy, and help my Nana, (his mother) teach me to cook, taught me to swim, and would dance around his house singing Frank Sinatra and Rat Pack songs with me.

The man that taught me that no matter how hard life is you just have to keep trying, and fighting, and making yourself strong.

He cried with me while I raged against the fact I wasn’t there when his wife, and my Grandma DeeDee passed, because my mother didn’t even tell me she was sick. He was there when my Nana passed and I cried at her grave and didn’t want to move.  I remember him picking me up like weighed nothing and carrying me to the car.

I was very angry when he died, my mother refused to let us go see him in the hospital, she was fighting with him.. I never really said goodbye. The last conversation I had with him only lasted ten minuets at most, I called him for new year’s he had just gotten out of the hospital from Christmas, brain tumors, and he was sick, but he told me he was much better, and I was in a hurry so I rushed off the phone. and that was it.

I always planned on having Papa sing to me when I got married, if he even came. When I was little he gave me a list of guys I couldn’t date, and me being the smart aleck I was asked him then who was I allowed to date? He laughed and told me I could be a good little catholic girl and join a nunnery, then every birthday, and Christmas along with my gifts would come a brochure for a different one.

I miss him so much and listening to the radio the other night I heard two songs that made me think of him, and even though I cried and still do, I just want to think of him looking down, and sitting with my Grandma DeeDee, and Nana and Grandpa Paul, and watching me smiling.

Aww The Dardnest Things...

This topic came from two of my favorite sites Here and Here, everyone has cute little posts about embarrassing things that their children do, and well because I don't yet have little angels of my own, (who will not be named Blaze, Titan, or Spirtall, although Kensei does want a Gray, Cayn, or Rain, (hehehe if you put them all together they rhyme) ) I would post about myself, my sister, and the kids I have babysat for.

Well this is story time....

Once upon a time there was a little girl, she was a sweet, quiet little girl. She never did anything she wasn't supposed to, she was her parents, grandparents and Great Grandmother (Nana)'s delight. It was roughly 1989-90 ish and She was sitting in the backseat of a station wagon when a song came on the radio causing the dear Papa (her grandfather) to slam on the breaks and spin his head to look at her as she began to sing, "I am the flower, you are the sea... All I want to do is make love to you," He still brings that up to her when they ride in the same car. Apparently a 4 to 5 year old should not be singing it.

A few years earlier at her second birthday party, the same little girl had gone to the television and changed the channel to MTV and proceeded to dance to Thriller, she can still do the dance actually.

Flash forward 14 years

Now the little girl is 15 years old and babysitting a little boy named Carnell, and her little sister Jujube. She decided that it would be nice to take the two of them to McDonald's. She seats the kids in car seats and goes to order food when across the restaurant you her Carnell yelling. "Pretty Mama! Mama! I wan nuggets Pretty Mama!" (His mother thought it was adorable that her called her Pretty Mama) and The Jujube's Voice "Nuggets too Mama! Pwease!" Her face began to turn red and if the people in the restaurant could kill with a glance she would be dead, so she said the first thing that popped into her mind, "I ain't their Mama!"

So here are a few things to read and perhaps laugh about! I hope you all enjoyed them!
