January Ipsy Bag

So the lip balm, is not really a lip balm just more of a color, and I can’t figure out a way at all to use that foundation.

One of my FAVORITE things each month are reading and looking at what people got in their subscription boxes!

I do 2 Birchbox and 1 Ipsy a month. So with out further ado here are my boxes this month!

So both my boxes were pretty much the same although I DID get different Chocolate bar flavors.

It's A Ten --- I've used this before, and honestly I don't think it is worth the hype or the expensive price tag, I don't notice a big difference in my hair when I use it and if I use more than a little ( or more than one time a wash, so no using on 2nd day hair) It makes my hair SUPER greasy.

Dr Lipp Balm --- I REALLY liked this. I was a little sad that my sample was about 1/2 air in each package but it did wonders for my super chapped lips!

Viva La Juicy Noir --- I generally do NOT like the Juicy smells. They just don't appeal to me. This one was not that bad but not something I'd buy

Color Club Polish in Dark 'N Stormy --- I LOVE polish samples, so I was super happy, plus I got a second to give to my sister in the same color. The color was pretty.

Supergoop CC Cream--- didn’t like it, not my color really greasy feeling.

Full Sized Chocolate Bars!!! --- One in Mint Chocolate and one in Toffee Crunch

Ipsy!!! Not REALLY feeling the bag but some people think it’s cute.

Em Mascara--- Not bad, not great just basic black mascara.

Starlooks Topaz Eyeliner --- pretty silver liner, nice for the holidays.

Be A Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damn --- pretty orange red color, it’s a mostly matte shade which I like but orange red which makes my teeth yellow so I won’t be wearing it.

Nailtini in Caviar Cocktail --- pretty silver polish

Pixi Bronzer in Subtly Sunkissed --- Pretty bronzer, a little to light for my complexion but it makes a nice eye shadow crease color.

BH Cosmetics Asteroid --- Looked super pretty, BUT not super pigmented on my eyes and turned into kind of a muddy brown grey color.

So I am signed up for 2 services, Birchbox and Ipsy! I did an unboxing video for Ipsy this month,

Then for Birchbox, I get 2 boxes and this is what I got this month!

For my First Birchbox this month I got

The Juice Beauty Moisturizer, It was okay but not something I would get for myself.

A Stila liquid lip color in Beso it was such a pretty red and a wonderful size sample!

Wish Deodorant wipes, these were interesting but again not something I would use every day, mainly because of the price, but it isn’t a bad idea to keep a few in your purse in case of an emergency. Wish Exfoliating scrub, I loved this it smells soooo good!

This shampoo smells so good, but I don’t think it would work well for me to use it often enough to buy it.

 

 

 

For my 2nd Birchbox I got the Stila lip color again, as well as the deodorant wipes and the exfoliating wash.

The Evolvh Conditioner smelled good and was a decent sized sample to try out, even though my hair is REALLY long and thick.

The Derma E was my favorite part of the box, it was full sized and I LOVED having the mist to take to class with me and just refresh my face with the Hyaluronic Acid. This I will DEFFINITLY be buying more of!

I also got this AMAZING essie polish in Fair Game!

So unfortunately I am going to have to use stock photos because I misplaced my memory card  

Let’s Start with Ipsy.

I was okay with the bag this month, it reminds me of a pencil case and I might actually use it in school.

The first item I do have a picture of because it came unwrapped and it looked like it was used….

This is the pop color crayon I got, I wrote to Ipsy customer care and they were supposed to send me a replacement… but it hasn’t come yet.

The BH cosmetic pallet was a disappointment… I have several of the 88 pallets from them and the pigmentation is great…. on these it sucked and had no color.

Benetint is Benetint, it was a cute sample size and I like the product but I already have a full sized and a travel sized with a gloss.

Got a sample of Coola in Birchbox a while back and I liked it so I was happy to get another sample of the sunscreen

 

I didn’t really see a difference with Big Sexy Hair’s Anti Humidity spray… it just made my hair crunchy like hair spray and I still had humidity problems.

 

So this month Ipsy is a 2 out of 5 for me.

 

on to Birchbox, I get two boxes from them so here goes!

Box number 1

Pur CC cream…. this annoyed me… I wish American brands would stop trying to cash in on BB creams fame because all this was, was a very thin tinted moisturizer…

Green Tea Cleanser I liked this, it smelt yummy!

The Caudalie Devine Legs sample was a MAJOR let down… there wasn’t enough in the sample to do all of one leg let alone 2.

Curly Hair solutions Curl keeper was okay, not great but not bad, not something I would actually buy though.

The bobby pins, were not really bobby pins but barrettes and I liked them .

Birchbox number 2!!

Bobby Pins again in a different color I got blue and teal!

Caldrea Body lotion, smelt good, but not a lot of it to try.

Dr Jart+ Ceramindin Cream… WOW this stuff was great, smelt blah but I put it on and my face was super smooth and soft, I wish they had sent a bigger sample so I could see if it would have broken me out but I am SERIOSULY considering splurging on this one!

Tiny oil sample, did nice in my hair not enough for me to really test it though, smelled REALLY good

Model Co Lipstick in a pretty neutral pink shade. I liked it and plan on getting both of the sets!
