1. What’s your dream job?

My dream job is traveling the world taking photographs of everything and anything!!

2. If you had just won the lottery and didn’t need to work for money, what would you do with your time?

I would finish school, buy myself my dream house, and then take pictures all day long!! And have lots and lots of kids.

3. What piece of career advice would you give to someone just starting out in your field?

My current field, I would tell them what my first boss told me, “your job is not to fix everything, you job is to smile, look cute, and make the guest feel like you have complete control over everything and can make their stay so pleasant they never want to leave.”

4. What would be your ideal “just for fun” job?

Traveling the world for photographs

5. What was your first “real” job?

how do we classify real? I worked at Fazolli’s and pretty much ran the store by the time I was 16, then I went to work at a bookstore, and then another restaurant and then hotels!

1. What is your favorite handbag you've ever owned?

I honestly don’t have one. I switch out my bags VERY frequently. almost monthly, so I don’t have one that I’ve ever loved enough to use for more than my usual time.

2. What is your dream handbag you lust over?

The Rebecca Minkoff Mac’s in Teal or Rose Gold OR

The Michael Kors in Rose Gold.

3. What are the daily essentials in your purse or work bag?

Daily Essentials… Wallet, Allergy meds, makeup of some kind and deodorant.

4. What's in your purse (with pictures)?

Well I didn’t bring my Camera with me today so I did a Quick Vlog about what is in my purse. If you want to see what I had my my last couple of bags take a look at these!  May 2013, November 2011, and September 2010. I swear I did one in 2012 but I can’t seem to find the post.

I have so many blogs I love to read each day, but I do subscribe to a daily news channel, I LOVE to watch SourceFed everyday!

I still love listening to LFO’s Summer Girls

 

5. What is the best summer concert you've been to?

I’ve only ever been to one, I took Jujube and her friend to a Kenny Chesney concert 2 years ago that was awesome.

Go swimming in the Ocean or  a Pool, but never a lake.

I’ve never really had a major party or anything like that.  I did love spending my birthday with my daddy and my friends!

1. Do you plan to change any of your eating habits in the new year?

I am going to try to cut back on soda. I was doing really well in 2012 but then I moved to Memphis and went from one- two cokes a week to 2-3 a day.

2. Any workout tips to get us back in shape after the Holidays?

I wish I had some. My main tip is to go to the gym/park, Y where ever you go to work out and KEEP going! That is a problem I have I’ll go 3-4 times a week for 2 weeks then I’ll miss a day and stop going for a month or three and that really isn’t helping any!

3. Favorite thing you did over the Holidays?

Spending time with Kensei, although I REALLY missed my family, and having a tree and a bunch of people around.

4. What is something you hope that you accomplish in 2013 that you did not in 2012?

Set a budget and same some money, and getting my passport!

5. Name 3 things happening this year you are excited about and why:

Starting my new school, taking more pictures with my NEW Camera, and spending time with Kensei!

Honestly? I wish I had people to come help me pack! But for a more materialistic wish I want to get the Sephora Cinderella set.

I’ve been addicted to two games lately Happy Street – which is basically a farmvilleish game but super cute and Plague Inc., which is a game I didn’t think I’d like you create an illness and infect the world with it, I got it for Halloween and its quite addicting.  If anyone has or gets Happy Street add me as a friend!

What is a new Fall TV show you have added to your DVR?

I am about a season behind on the TV shows, I have a strange obsession with watching every show in order so if I miss an episode I won’t watch any more until I can catch up. Currently watching Once Upon A Time, Raising Hope, Psych, Burn Notice, NCIS and Warehouse 13

1. What do you miss most about being a kid?

having summer’s actually off, and vacation time. I miss being lazy

2. Did you have a nickname growing up? What was it?

My dad called me Pumpkin, Pumpkin Pie and Pooh Bear. My mom called me brat, my brother called me by my name and my sister called me Kaki. 

3. What was your favorite thing to do at recess?

Swing, and sit in the corner of the playground and read books.

4. What did you want to be when you grew up?

a princess, or an actress or a mom.

5. What was your favorite toy?

I still have him, a stuffed teddy bear I carried everywhere, he still actually lives on my bed.

6. What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still remind you about?

The time I started singing  Heart’s "All I want to do is make love to you," in my papa’s car. They find that hilarious!

Me? Well I think my breasts are too big… I might want to take them down a size… and definitely lipo or something along those lines.

I used to watch  General Hospital and Passions all the time because my mom and grandmother watched them with me when I was little. 

3. Favorite clothing brand?

I don’t have one.. I wear anything from a Thrift shop!

4. An afternoon shopping spree at your favorite store or maid service for a year?

Maid Service because I really really hate to clean!!

Ummm no.

6. Favorite Disney Princess?

I love both Cinderella and Belle, but Ariel is a great one two, so I can’t pick.

Prince of Persia.

LOL I have broken my arm and my leg, my leg well you should read part one and two and three for the stories!

Sunday Stealing: The Pretentious Blogging Meme
1. How long have you been blogging?

My first Blogger Blog was started in Dec 2006/ but I think I only posted one time on it. I have random Facebook/MySpace  blogs but nothing serious until now.

2. What made you start?

I really got into reading some blogs and I wanted to give it a try, but I knew my life would never be as exciting as Keely’s, or Mama Kat’s, or Ashley’s, So I mainly started so that I could comment non-anonymously.

 
3. Who inspired you?

Ashley over at Ashley’s Closet, Mama Kat’s blog and Keely’s Randomness, I loved it all.

4. About how many hours a week would you estimate you spend on your blog?

on my own blog? Probably about 15 or so a week, but I spend a lot more time than I should online.

5. What kind of experience or background do you have with writing?

I wrote journals and diaries growing up, plus I tried to write some fiction but I never can seem to actually finish it.

6. Talk about how you come up with blog topics. Where do you get your ideas?

I get my ideas from all sorts of places, Meme’s, inner angst, friends, school, work, I just try to pull ideas from everywhere.

7. What or who inspires you and your blog?

I get inspired by the life around me, sometimes its because I want to be less involved and sometimes I desperately wish I was more involved.
8. Where and/or how do your brainstorming for your blog?

I brainstorm during classes and when I am sitting down looking at an empty post page.

 
9. Do you have any blogging rules or guidelines you follow?

I just have a rule about commenting really, I love comments and I try to post as many as I can on other’s blogs. Blogging not so much, If I offend people I am sorry but that’s my opinion and well, this IS my blog.

10. Is there anything you will not blog about?

I don’t really have a taboo topic although I try to stay away from Religion and Politics, I figure if I wouldn’t talk about it at dinner then maybe I should keep it off my blog as well.

11. Do you have any sort of a publishing schedule in terms of day of week or topic?

lol that’s funny, I don’t I post when I want to say something, I try to stay regular but as you can see from post history I get caught up in the real world sometimes, (Plus interesting stuff doesn’t always happy to me)

Sunday, a Dreamy Boring day

Today has been a very boring day. I woke up to the ring of my cell phone while my mother yelled at me. I then finished two books and wished my life was more like the ones in my books. Then I finished reading Jujube A Little Princess and realized that my high expectations had actually started when I was very young.

I also went to do a Sunday meme, and it also linked to my boredom today. While Piper is a horror movie buff I am the musical girl. Sit me in front of Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire any movie with singing and dancing no matter what age it was intended and you won't hear a peep from me except maybe a giggle now and then. I love any musical I can get my hands on.

I have always thought that I lived in the wrong time, I would feel perfectly at home almost anywhere in history, even without the Internet.
Almost every song I own is from a musical. I love to watch old movies with Cary Grant, Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, and Frank Sinatra. I have always been obsessed.
My mother blames my grandmother for making her watch them while she was pregnant and for the firs Christmas (I was born in September) Watching White Christmas forty times while holding me, apparently family legend is that during that Christmas I would only stop crying if I heard Bing Crosby.

I always used to joke that my kids would grow up watching the movies I always loved so much.
I have always been able to take a situation and turn it into something I saw in a musical once.

There is a reason that this disjointed post is like this, I was looking at the Sunday Meme's and saw this prompt.

MY life a movie??? A musical of course. Then I started thinking about how dull my life is and decided to stick to the actual questions. I would want my part played by.... well a now actress Jessica Alba, (I know I look nothing like her) and for Kensei I want Gene Kelly or Bing Crosby (I know I know, but this is fantasy right??) Piper could be played by Ginger Rodgers, Jujube I would want played by Shirley Temple, well I could cast the whole thing! As for the title I am not sure... I wrote a story once called a Series of unfortunate Mishaps. maybe something along those lines.
