I Have a confession:

I am about to tell you something that I have only JUST now admitted to myself.
I have a problem, and addiction if you want.

I don't think it is all that serious but apparently EVERYONE else and their mama's does.

Most people when they get emotional eat, or hit walls or do other things to release the pent up emotions. Me I find sales. I shop, I buy things and feel guilty later, causing me to return them which causes more pent up emotion which causes the cycle to repeat all over again.

I never knew that I had this problem but now that I do I can see how it happened.

I was having a conversation with Piper while walking in the mall when all of the sudden I saw a sale at Esse Shoes. I don't know if anyone else has one of these stores but I have always referred to them as Hooker Shoes. The entire inventory of that store looks like this:

Now not only would I kill myself in these shoes. If I did manage to survive a few steps in them I would be crying from the pain. Heck my proms were spent mostly barefoot!

But because they had a sale I HAD to go in a look and dragged poor Piper in with me as well. She laughed and pointed out that this is what I do. Of course I denied and defended myself.

I dared her to name ONE time I bought something JUST because it was on sale. Sad to say she had a doosy.

In high school Piper and I were on strict budgets. Her whatever her dad sent in child support. and me whatever I made from my two jobs that my parents hadn't already claimed. This would equal out to be about 40 every two weeks between the two of us for food and about 25 in shopping money. So I liked sales. We LOVED when they put in a Ross's. This meant we could get cute clothes at cheaper prices.

Which brings us to the fabled skirt incident.

She will retell this story EVERY chance she gets so when I asked for an example I should have suspected this.

WE were down to our last 5 dollars, we each had a shirt from the clearance rack and needed some kind of bottoms. Piper is much smaller than I am in high school she was one of those girls who eat an entire pizza and still remain a size 4 without EVER working out. I saw a pretty little white skirt for a dollar. A DOLLAR people!!! I insisted she get it, regardless of weather she would wear it or not. She tried to convince me that it was WAY to revealing but all I saw was the price tag.

I bought it and it sits in her closet unworn to this day. To give you a little Idea think about this in Pure white almost see through cotton:

So This is why I have finally admitted my problem. now the question is where do I go for therapy??

Books, and Blogs and Money Oh My!

I love Thursdays! Make sure you visit Mama Kat's for more creativeness!

1.) Grab your current read. Let the book fall open to a random page and share two “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
(inspired by Heather)

This was a little hard because I am in the middle of about six books right now, but Here is one of them

Night's Pleasure
Amanda Ashley

"he had an almost overpowering urge to release the beast within him. It would be so easy. He could take them all before they realized what was happening..."

4.)Tell us about your blogline...how long have you been blogging, when did you start, what were/are your goals for your blog, etc.
(inspired by Corn)

Well I haven't been blogging long. I just started this January. Originally this was going to be a kind of diary, but then I discovered all the amazing people in blogland and have been having fun reading their fantablous lives and realized mine was kind of dull. I guess I want to become more confident in what I am writing and putting out there. I am sure things are more interesting to others than they seem to me. I also love the chance to add the creative part of me. So hopefully I will write more and have a lot more fun on this blog.

Writer's Workshop

3.) What have you been busy doing that's keeping you from updating your blog? How hard is it for you to get back into the swing of blogging when you take time off?

I have been working and sick. Plus with school out there is really nothing interesting to talk about. The most interesting things the happen usually happen when I am not working so I feel as if I don't have a good enough account to pass on.

I have realized that I am generally a pretty boring person. It takes me quite a while to get back into the swing of things.

For example In

January I posted 22 times.

February 26

March 30

April 8

May 9

June (so far) 2

Seriously really bad! I am so sorry to the people who read and I promise to try to be a little more interesting!

On a Side note I will be driving with Piper to MI to see her husband graduate AIT. Along the way we will stop in TN to see Kensei. If anyone knows a really good cleanse and or weight loss and exercise program PLEASE PLEASE pass it along in the comments!

Thanks!

OMG!!! I Just noticed this was my 100th post!!! YEAH!!!

Nothing to WRITE???

Well this is where normally I would have a cute, short and sweet Writer's Workshop inspired by the wonderful Mama Kat. Sadly I couldn't come up with a THING to say!

So I am going to rant a little instead.

Jujube Graduated from the Fifth grade yesterday! I was very proud of her. She won some award from President Obama, well her and five other kids, But she was happy and it meant that she was a very good student!

I have very reluctantly posted a few images of myself on this blog, mostly because I don't like the way I look. But Those that have seen me, Do I look as if I am old enough to have an 11 year old daughter??? Just wondering because no matter where we go, or what we do people call me her mom. While I think it's sweet, in a creepy way. It also REALLY bugs me because I don't think I look old enough. And yes I know that people are having kids younger and younger, but I would have had to have had her at the VERY latest at 11 or 12 years old! So WHY??

<--- This was me about a year and a half ago. People STILL called her my daughter then too. Okay so the rant is over and perhaps I will be inspired later and have more to say but you should all head over to Mama Kat's and look at everyone else too!

As for the Obit. I am not sure what I would write but I do know that I would want this song played there.

Billy Currington's People are Crazy

mainly because I like this verse

"Then one sunny day
I saw the old man’s face
Front page Obituary
He was a millionaire he
He left his fortune to me
Some guy he barely knew
His kids were mad as hell
Huh but me, I’m doing well
And I drop by today
To just say thanks and pray
And I left a six-pack right there on his grave
And I said God is great, beer is good and people are crazy

God is great, beer is good and people are crazy"

Holy Cow Batman! RTT

Holy Cow Batman! I now have 16 followers!!! I love you guys! You make me feel so super special!

randomtuesday

Remember to go look at the wonderful Keely's Amazing and wondrous blog for more RTT awesome fun.

Jujube's Eleventh birthday was on Friday. We went to Carowinds. I got a sunburn. Fun!

Sadly Mr. Linky has passed on... *moment of silence* and we are done.

I am going to Jujube's Graduation from fifth grade tomorrow. She is happy, and has agreed to let me curl her hair before I go to work tonight. *Evil Villain Laugh* I love to make her look like Shirley Temple.

Air Force got into the Army summer camp. He will be at Ft. Jackson for two weeks. Last time he went he fractured his ankle. I am hoping that he will do better this time, because well.. he wants to join the Air Force.

School Advisement starts on Monday. Wow... I feel like i just got out of last semester and now I have to make my final advisement appointment so that I can get my Associates.

I think I shouldn't have waited a year to go to school, I am WAY behind all of my high school classmates. They are all done with Bachelor's and moving on to Graduate school. I am just about to transfer to a real university.

I don't trust people who run either.

Well that's it for me folks! Have a good week and remember to stop by Keely's to check out more random wonder!
