I received this from Net Galley in exchange for a honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. The scoundrel – bad boy – criminal mastermind and the sweet society innocent is a bit overplayed in Historical Romance Novels, but this book has some VERY interesting twists! I mean Jagger/Ethan is not what he seems at all and neither is sweet society Miss Audrey.
I loved the chemistry between the two main characters from the start of the book. They are believably compatible and the two of them are also a lot more alike than they seem.
The pace is fast but not to fast and the characters race across England to escape from someone, and the locations they find themselves in are very interesting. There are a lot of reoccurring characters from the other books, which is a good/bad thing depending on how you look at it. There is one book I’ve not yet read so the back story which wasn’t touched on left me a little confused so I recommend reading all other books in the series before reading this book just for continuity purposes.
The end of the book ties up all the loose ends and is very uplifting. I recommend this book to read for sure, a 4 star book. But honestly I would read all the other books in the series first.
