#BanBossy & #LikeAGirl

I have talked about these campaigns before, I talked about When I Stopped Feeling Beautiful, and I talked about My personal feelings on Dove’s #BeautyIs campaign. I feel pretty similar to #BanBossy and #LikeAGirl, I will say that the Like a girl video actually makes it’s point better though.

But here is something I say:

The 2nd question; show me what it looks like to fight like a girl: This is what I think:

And I’ve personally never had an issue with the word Bossy, and one thing that I REALLY don’t understand about that one, it the video starts out with all these big in charge women and they all say they were called bossy, but it obviously didn’t stop them from going on and becoming the person that they are, in fact in some of them it probably inspired them to continue on the road they are on.

This just doesn't make sense to me.

We all know from my other posts how I feel about beauty companies trying to get a message across and sell their own products, but I will admit I do like Pantene’s response to the #BanBossy campaign, although honestly I think both sexes get labeled just as much as the other, I do agree with the Shine Strong message.

So what do you think? Should we #BanBossy? or stop saying #LikeAGirl?

What about the Dove campaign? Where do you stand?

I saw this the other day and I thought it was so interesting. I think we should get rid of like a girl!

LOVE this! So happy to see these campaigns gaining traction. Growing up in a family of all girls, I was the "tomboy" and never understood why people seemed to think boys and girls had to act so differently, or if I acted more like the boys did it was frowned upon.
