I did one of these last year and honestly I think it is a lot of fun to look back over the year and see what you posted, I apparently took a LOT more selfies than I thought I did and a lot of food pics, but this is my year as seen though my Instagram!!

I really wasn’t planning a post today but I watched something that I felt needed to be shared…

This woman’s bravery and thoughtfulness makes me know that even though the world is filled with crappy people there is some light that shines through, and if you cried along with me during the first half, at least I know I’m not alone.

December 2014 Bark Box!!

 

Penni was thrilled about her Bark Box this month, she was ready to dig in as soon as we pulled the box out of the mail box, BUT there was a mix up, they sent a card about how we were going to get a different item than registered sadly Penni does not like ANY of the replacement…

Penni got another Etta Says Rabbit Chew—she LOVES These so we were happy to get a repeat item.

 

Bucher’s Block Bones 6’’ Trachea  she was excited about this bone and so was I she loves natural bones!

R2Pet Zany Ziggler Giggler Moose—Penni actually like this toy, which is funny because noise making toys usually scare her, but she has already eaten through the toys ears which is a sign she like a toy.

Safemade Green Sweater Bandana, I love putting Bandana’s on Penni and she gets REALLY attached to them, and even though I keep getting yelled at because I call it a Christmas jumper and not a Christmas sweater, but penni loved it.

 

Now for the meh part….

These are the replacement treats, but penni did not like them AT ALL. I think they look and smell like bullion cubes, and we gave her one, it took her a good 10 min to decide she wanted to try to eat it and she just never finished it, which has never happened with a treat before.

Top Ten Things I Want For Christmas

So this Christmas I feel not really in the Christmas spirit, I am not sure why, but it hasn’t really felt like the night before Christmas Eve for me, either the weather or just my mood, and I also know that I will not really be getting any Christmas gifts this year due to financial reasons. So here is my top 10 list for Santa to bring me:

10. My family, I really miss them and think that it would be nice to see them this year

9. Some paid vacation, I would love to have a paid break from work.

8. The winning lottery numbers, I would like to pay my bills with the winning lottery numbers

7. Books, a lot of books to read

6. People I can trust

5. A relaxing weekend

4. some meds so I don’t feel ill all the time

3. a wedding dress

2. everything planned for my wedding,

1. a week where I can just sleep, and catch up on life.

Angel Reads: Earls Just Want to Have Fun

 

Shana Galen is an author I adore so when Net Galley offered me the opportunity to read and review her book Earls Just Want To Have Fun, I was thrilled. Marlow is not your usual heroine, she is spunky and a pickpocket and was kidnapped as a child. Marlow is also a little bit of a brat and can be a bit of the B-word. I didn’t love her the whole book but she grew on me. Max was a little stiff and not a hero I immediately fell for, I love the fact that these two did not fall in love at first sight, that they had to work at their relationship. I love how both characters had flaws and evolved over the story and that they were not perfect cookie cutouts of what a hero and heroine should be!

Would you read this one? I liked it!

KISS Instawave Curler Review and Demo

I was lucky enough to have been chosen by BrandBacker to try out the KISS Instawave Curler, When I first heard about the KISS fully automatic hair curling device I was picturing something like the Conair curl secret but I really like the open style of the Instawave a lot better.
It is really easy to use, you hold the wand vertically and allow the automatic mechanism to wrap the hair around the barrel ensuring an even and pretty curl.



Now I have a LOT of hair, it is really long, really thick and hard to curl.


I found the KISS Instawave  to be really easy to use, I did need to practice a few times to make sure I could wrap it easily but as you can see in my demo all you need to do if it catches your hair is to either pull straight down or reverse and reposition the wand! There are a lot of pros on this curler, the price point is not bad, you don’t need to be a pro to use this and the KISS Instawave  would work great for a beginner.

I do agree with this it was really easy and fast to curl my hair!
I also love that it has an auto shut off after 90 min. So if you forget to unplug or turn it off you won’t burn the house down, (although you should ALWAYS double check all hair appliances to make sure they are off!)

Some cons I had,
There is not a stand or anything to keep the curler resting off of the surface it is on, so in particular when I am waiting for it to cool so I Can store it I need to hold the curler until it is cool enough to store.
The barrel is a little shirt for girls with long hair like me, if I wanted to get Shirley temple ringlets (which you could with this curler) I would either need to curl each piece twice or break the curls up to curl my whole hair strands, maybe a second version with a longer clip and barrel will be out later.

This is the Final product from the curler, I love the way it looks!!

I LOVE Candles, especially during the wintertime. Old Factory candles are really great candles.

I got the Winter Wonderland set, which has Roasted Chestnut, Hot Coco and First Snow. I LOVED
Roasted Chestnut and First Snow was a great candle as well, kind of a men’s cologne smell, but I couldn’t burn Hot Coco which I was really sad about because I LOVE the smell of Hot Coco, but the fake vanilla scent was way to strong for me and gives me a headache, so it was given to a friend of mine.
